Background

This is the ranked choice vote for the GPCA to consider a single endorsement for U.S. Senate in the June 2016 primary election. According to GPCA Bylaws 7-4, a GPCA position to endorse a candidate shall require a 2/3 vote. Candidates are considered eligible for GPCA endorsement according to this procedure http://www.cagreens.org/elections/2016/us-senate-endorsement-process, including filling out this questionnaire http://www.cagreens.org/elections/2016/us-senate-endorsement-process#questionnaire

Delegates may rank as many or few candidates in order of the delegate's preference, as well as ranking 'No Other Candidate.' Delegates may also abstain. An 'abstain' vote means the voter is not expressing a preference, but is voting to help achieve quorum.

A 2/3 vote in favor of any particular candidate after all preferences are transferred would mean the GPCA would endorse that particular candidate. If no candidate receives 2/3 after all preferences are transferred, or if No Other Candidate receives 2/3 after all preferences are transferred, the GPCA's position will be 'no endorsement'.
