Directions for Standing General Assembly voting

Dear Standing General Assembly (SGA) member,

Welcome to the GPCA SGA.

To vote, start by entering your login and password. That will take you to a page that will show you each proposal and/or election that is currently up for a vote.
If you can't remember your password, enter your login name where it says 'password reminder' and your password will be sent to you.

If the proposal is a yes/no vote, then you can choose to vote either 'yes', 'no' or 'abstain'. If the proposal is a ranked-choice vote, you will have the chance to rank as many or as few choices as are listed, in the order of your preference. You will also be given the opportunity to abstain in such votes.

If the vote is for an election, it could be either a single-seat or multi-seat election. In either case, the GPCA uses ranked-choice voting, and you can rank as many or as few candidates as you'd like, as well as to abstain overall on such votes.

All votes for proposals will show the votes of delegates on the SGA web page, who have already voted during the voting period. At the close of votes for each proposals, the votes of all delegates who voted during the voting period will be shown, and a final result announced.

All votes in elections are handled differently. In these cases, each delegate's vote will be kept secret until the close of the voting period, after which they all will be shown openly on the SGA web page. If you have any questions, write to voting@cagreens.org
